Dr. Mandana Amiri Wins British Roger Taylor Award


Assistant Professor Dr. Mandana Amiri, the faculty member of University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, won Roger Taylor Award of the British Carbon Group.

The Roger Taylor Award is funded by the Taylor family as an endowment to the British Carbon Group and it is intended to make one award per year with a bursary of £750. The award is made upon the basis of an appraisal of THREE documents: (1) the extended abstract or paper as submitted to the conference (only one paper is permitted for the purposes of the award), (2) a short CV (with the date of the award of PhD if applicable) and (3) a commentary provided normally by the candidate’s supervisor or close colleague. Self-nomination is not permitted. The Award Committee of the British Carbon Group determines the successful applicant.

Dr. Amiri won the award in the 12th biennial international conference of “Advanced Carbon Nano-Structures” in St. Petersburg, Russia , on June 29- July 3 , 2015 .

She has published 32 articles in ISI and taken part in 60 national and international conferences so far. She had also won Young Researcher Award in the international Nano -Sciences and Technology Conference in Japan in 2011.
