In recent days, European citizens have got into panic following the terrorist attacks in Paris that killed at least 129 people. Unprecedented security measures have been put in place in cities across Europe for fear of possible attacks. At any time, it is likely that a similar deadly incident would happen in other parts of Europe.
Western-made terrorists are carrying out operations against European countries. Paris attacks may be the onset of a cycle of insecurities which affect most so-called safe European countries.
For years, Western governments have tried to create insecurity in Iran and other countries in the region through many ways. However, they not only have not achieved their pre-determined goals, but also have paid a heavy cost over their past actions.
On the contrary, Iran is the center of peace and security in the midst of a troubled region. Unlike their western peers, Iranian security forces have repeatedly thwarted several terror attacks over the last months.
Now, Tehran is hosting many international conferences such as Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit. The recent visits to Iran by senior officials from European countries after the nuclear deal in July is a sign of the country’s powerful security. In contrast, the scheduled visit of Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani to France was, past week, delayed due to Paris deadly attacks.
Foreign tourists, especially from European countries, have shown increasing interest in Iran over recent months, confirming a strong security in the country. Further, countries such as France and UK have also lifted their security alert for their citizens, declared almost all of Iran safe for travel.
Of course, this does not mean that terror threats only have targeted European countries and Iran has been immune of such threats.
ISIS terrorist group has repeatedly threatened Iran over times but is not able to fulfill its will.
The chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has said all attempts by the Takfiri terrorist group of ISIS against Iran have been thwarted.
“ISIS has for long been seeking to create insecurity in Iran. However, thanks to the intelligence superiority of the [country’s] security apparatus and people’s good cooperation, their attempts have so far been thwarted,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Sunday.
He added: “ISIS enjoys support networks which back them and these networks have different layers. One of these networks was identified in Kermanshah (Province in western Iran) and its members were arrested. Other networks are within reach of [our] intelligence superiority and they will be dealt with if need be.”
In short, for every action is a kind of reaction. Those countries that have provided terrorists with facilities and military equipment, now are affected by their own backed group.
