Heading a high-ranking delegation, Zarif arrived in the capital of the southern German state of Bavaria on Friday to take part in the MSC due to kick off later today and continue until Sunday, February 19.
According to the official website of the MSC, the Iranian top diplomat is slated to deliver a speech at the international event on Sunday morning.
In his trip to Germany, Zarif is accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi and Deputy Foreign Minister for American and European Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi.
More than 500 participants are planned to take part in the event. Near 50 foreign ministers, 30 defense ministers, and 90 parliamentarians are due to attend.
Since its foundation five decades ago, the MSC has become a leading international platform for dialogue on foreign and security policy.
In addition to its annual flagship conference, the MSC regularly convenes high-profile events on particular topics and regions and publishes the Munich Security Report.
