A top Swiss diplomat paid a visit to the holy shrine of Imam Reza in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.
According to news reports, a Swiss delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Yves Rossier on Wednesday visited different parts of the holy shrine as well as the Central Museum and Carpet Museum of the Astan.
The Swiss delegation arrived in Iran last Monday and chosen the border town of Shalamcheh in Khuzestan province as the starting point of its visit.
Their Iran visit was aimed at enhancing trade and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
