An Iranian medical doctor from Mashhad Medical University received the World’s Greatest Woman Inventor Award at the Geneva International Festival for Inventions last week.
Dr. Zahra Alizadeh, who is a Cardiologist and a heart radiology specialist has also received the Gold medal as well as the Special award at the 41st Geneva Festiv…al in addition to her award as the world’s best woman inventor.
Dr. Alizadeh has invented a device to determine the level of occlusion of coronary arteries using a special software and device. This device also makes it possible to determine if the patient needs to go through angioplasty or not, since angioplasty is an invasive procedure.
According to the news source, Dr Alizadeh’s invention was chosen to receive the Gold Award among more than 2,000 inventions from the 45 participating countries.
