Iranians poured to the streets Sunday night to celebrate the second victory of the national volleyball team against the US in FIVB World League.
According to reports, people in Tehran and other cities celebrated the home victory of the Iranian volleyball squad, while they poured to the streets honking their horns and waving the Iranian flag.
Iran defeated the reigning FIVB Volleyball World League champions, Team USA, 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19) on Sunday. As soon as the match ended, fans from Iran happily erupted into song.
USA won both matches in Los Angeles in May, while Iran also won in Tehran on Friday 3-0 (25-19, 29-27, 25-20).
USA still leads Pool B with 17 points, while Iran is in third place with 13 points. Iran handed USA their only two loses in Pool B.
