Millions of Iranians are taking to the streets in various cities and towns across the country to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Islamic Revolution emerged victorious on Bahman 22, or February 11, 2022 after toppling the US-backed Pahlavi regime which was the last monarchy to rule Iran.
Every year, ten-day celebrations known as Dahey-e-Fajr are held across the country to commemorate the occasion. The celebrations begin on February the first, which is the day when the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini returned to Iran from exile.
The last day of the celebrations falls on Bahman 22, with countrywide marches in commemoration of people’s sacrifices that led the revolution to victory.
