At the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral, regional and international issues.
Pointing to the numerous commonalities between the two countries, the two sides stressed the need to forge closer cooperation and relations in different political, economic cultural areas, including energy and technology.
Zarif traveled to Tajikistan to attend the 23rd Meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers due to be held on April 17.

They will also discuss progress and assessment of the implementation of the goals and objectives defined in the “2025 ECO Prospects”, the adoption of the New ECO Program on Assistance to Afghanistan, as well as the administrative and financial issues of the Organization
