New Images Confirm Iran’s Supreme Leader Healthiness

New images released by Institute for Preserving and Publishing Works by Ayatollah Khamenei show that Iran’s supreme leader remains in a healthy condition after surgery.

These images, for the first time after surgery, indicate Ayatollah Khamenei while he is walking.

Over the past few days, all images displayed Iran’s Supreme Leader while he was lying on the hospital bed.

The 75-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei underwent prostate surgery September 8 in a government hospital in Tehran.

In his convalescence, Iran’s Supreme Leader has been visited by a stream of prominent politicians, beginning with President Hassan Rouhani

Other authorities and officials also visit Ayatollah Khamenei in hospital.

Previously, Head of Khamenei’s medical team, Dr. Ali Reza Marandi, told state TV that the surgery procedure took less than half an hour and was performed under local anesthesia. He said Ayatollah Khamenei will need three to four days of rest.

Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, the head of Khamenei’s office also told that the supreme leader will leave hospital after five or six days.

Earlier in the day, state TV aired a footage of Ayatollah Khamenei before the surgery in which he asked people to pray for him.

Iran’s Supreme Leader was once hospitalized in 1981 after a failed assassination attempt against him.
