Iranian president on Saturday said Merry Christmas to Pope Francis and world leaders on the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Christ Jesus (PBUH) and advent of the new Christian year.
Rouhani Iran sent a congratulatory message to Pope Francis, saying that the birth of Christ was plenty to the world and source of justice and beauty.
“I congratulate Your Highness all Christians of the world on the festive occasion of the Christmas; we invest much hope on 2017 to be a year of peace, kindness, and cooperation among all nations,” read the message.
“The upcoming year would hopefully bring high spirituality for the public; tolerance and peace for the political elite, and justice for the downtrodden and unprivileged,” it concluded the brief message.
Iranian president also said Merry Christmas to world leaders, adding that “on the threshold of the new Christian year and under teachings of the holy prophet who brought dialogue and understanding among nations.”
Rouhani prayed to God to bestow peace and security upon the world community in the new Christian year.
He also wished to witness a world full of stability and security and put an end to the sufferings of world nations from tyranny, corruption and terrorism.
President Rouhani prayed for a year full of peace and prosperity for the world nations and their governments.
