President of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann arrived in Tehran on Friday, Mehr News Agency reported.
Heading a high-ranking political, economic, and scientific delegation, President Schneider-Ammann arrived in Tehran on Friday, upon the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani.
Schneider-Ammann was officially welcomed by Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammadreza Nematzadeh at Mehrabad Airport.
Promoting the level of Tehran-Bern ties in political, economic, trade, judicial, and cultural fields is among the objectives of the Swiss president’s Iran visit.
The two sides will sign agreements in various fields of economy, facilitatation of banking transactions, and political, legal and cultural ties between the two countries.
He will also deliver a speech among the students and professors of University of Tehran.
