The U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team visited Milad Tower, Tehran on Wednesday.
The U.S team has travelled to Tehran early this week to hold two matches against Iran National Volleyball Team in FIVB World League.
American volleyball players rushed to Milad Tower as a symbol of Tehran last day to see its sights and take some pics as a souvenir.
U.S. and Iran volleyball teams will play against each other (the second leg) on Friday night in Tehran’s Azadi Indoor Stadium. Last week, both teams went to two matches against each other (the first leg) in Los Angles ended in the superiority of US over Iran (3-1).
Iran has the third position just with 7 points and US is in the lead with 17 points in 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League. Russia and Poland are the other competitors in Group B.
Head of American Volleyball Federation, Douglas Bill, said: “Americans have less information about Iranians. Yet, Iran has many beautiful sights that tourists can visit them enthusiastically”.
He added that “I visited many towers in the world such as the tower in Dubai, but Milad Tower is very different and attracts members of American volleyball Team.”
A member of U.S National Volleyball team, Taylor Sander, also said: “Milad Tower was very interesting to me because Americans like skyscrapers. Today I can visit Tehran from its highest point; namely, beautiful Milad Tower.”
Insisting on the beauty of Tehran, U.S. Team Captain David Lee, said: “Tehran’s Milad Tower is an amalgamation of art and architecture, augmenting its attraction.
It is worth saying that the selling of e-ticket of US-Iran volleyball match was done on Tuesday and all tickets were sold out in a jiffy (some minutes). It is predicted and expected that this event would have a unique welcome.
