Warmongering and International Threats

By: Mansour Afrasiabi

War and warmongering have been dated back to many years ago, regarded a tool for warmongers and wreaked havoc on innocent nations regardless of any troubles for them. Dr. Shariati, Iranian sociologist and Islamic scholar, quoted that “War is a phenomenon in which some will kill some other people having no differences with each other but those having differences will not fight with each other.”

In this article, reasons and causes of wars in 20 century are not discussed. The aim is to survey the reasons of some international important threats, posed in the contemporary period, and their relations with some warmongering politicians.

From three decades ago till now, all international threats, which are based on propaganda of some media, have targeted extremism, derived unfortunately from fabricated branches of Islam.

But question is that: why is the relationship between United States, western countries, and even Israel with those countries which are the birthplace of extremism so good and strategic? They cannot deny the relationship of some Arabic countries with groups such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, and so on in Pakistan. However, during the last 10 years, western countries have sold many arms and military weapons such as aircraft to Saudi Arabia.

Mainly, these groups have been equipped and supported through dollars of Saudi Arabia and some other Arabic countries. Is it possible that these groups continue to develop in the region without the financial aid of Saudi Arabia, guidance of Israel, and intelligence of United States? Consequently, these countries have perpetrated many war crimes by the name of fighting with terrorism and extremism.

On the other hand, despite of attempts made by Obama to keep away from waging a new war but some American warmongering officials and policy-makers, on a par with Israel, have emphasized on fighting against Iran.

From the beginning to the end of nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1, Iran has proved that it is not a warmongering country but instead, has tried hard for a world free of violence and extremism. On the contrary, some US Republicans have repeatedly announced that “all options are on the table!” Are these warmongers, aligned with Israel, able to reduce violence and extremism in the world? Such these people cannot understand the concept of stability and security and their interests lie in war, violence, extremism, and instability.

In this circumstance, nations, especially American nation and its public opinion, can play a key role in preventing from provoking violence as well as alignment of some congressmen with Israel’s polices to wage a new war. Otherwise, posterity will have an ambiguous approach towards American nation.
