The Zoroastrians of Yazd paid their respects Friday to the late Iranian leader Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani following his death last week.
The tribute ceremony was held at Zoroastrians temple attended by Yazd governor and its representative in the parliament.
Former Iranian president Hashemi Rafsanjani died on last Sunday aged 82 after suffering a heart attack.
Hashemi Rafsanjani was a key figure in the foundation of the Islamic republic in 1979, and served as president from 1989 to 1997.
Hundreds of thousands of Iranians gathered in central Tehran on last Tuesday for the funeral of Rafsanjani.
